Know the Various Gucci Shoe Styles

Serial Numbers

Check the inside lining. The real Gucci will have an 8 digit serial number in it. These numbers can be seen right next to the shoe size. Fake models don’t have them. The insides of the real shoes also have leather lining. The words “Gucci Made in Italy” can also be seen on the shoe heel lining.

Check the Soles

The soles can also offer info on whether the Gucci footwear is genuine or not. The soles of imitation models will be made from synthetic materials. Those of the genuine pair will be made of real leather.

Some shoes also have characteristics unique to them. For instance, shoes made during the Tom Ford era come with the word “GUCCI” silver plated. This engraving is just under the shoe size.

Packaging

The shoe bag and packaging of fake and genuine Gucci differ. The authentic bags are brown with the double C or double G printed. The fake ones are tan, black or even white. They also don’t have the double G sign.

Furthermore, the authentic Gucci shoebox and shopping bag have matching brown colors. The word GUCCI will also be engraved on the real shoebox. This will be in silver lettering at the top. The package for the fake shoes won’t have these features.

Sniff Test

Smell the genuine pair and you will know they are made from authentic leather. Fake shoes will have a different smell as they are made from various synthetic materials.

Some fake shoes also use rough canvas fabric. They do this to mimic the double G logo. The printed Gucci cloth also has a shimmering look. You can also tell the shoes are fake by the haphazard way the sewing is done.

Genuine Gucci footwear is also noted for their craftsmanship. Unlike fake shoes, the material is sewn by hand. The stitches are barely visible to the naked eye. The workmanship on the fake shoes is of poor quality.
