How to Clean Designer Nike Shoes
Step 1
Look at the soles to determine which areas have to be cleaned. Remove ground-in dirt or stains with a toothbrush. Keep scrubbing until most of the dirt is gone. If needed, apply a bit of liquid detergent in the toothbrush bristles when cleaning the shoes.
Step 2
Take off the shoelaces and lift the tongue. Put the shoes bottom up at the dishwasher’s bottom rack. Set the shoes inches apart. Put the detergent in the machine.
Step 3
Set the dishwasher to the normal cycle, but make certain the heat dry cycle is turned off.
Step 4
Take off the shoes as soon as the cycle is done. Brush off any remaining dirt with the toothbrush. Scrub any remaining dirty areas with the toothbrush. Let the shoes dry overnight.
Step 5
Keep the shoe tongue out so the shoe insides are as exposed as possible. Position the shoes next to a fan at medium speed at least overnight.
The next morning, your designer Nike shoes should be as good as new. Now you just have to put in the shoelaces and you can start using them again.
